At Play Mandarin, our private tutoring service is designed for children from aged 2 and delivered by professionally trained Mandarin teachers. Every instructor has completed our in-house teaching certification program and is equipped with the tools and skills to deliver structured, engaging, and effective lessons.

What’s included in our tutoring:

• Full preparation and teaching by certified Mandarin teachers

• Progress-based learning plans tailored to your child’s level

• Teaching tools, themed games, and physical learning materials brought to each lesson

• Assigned follow-up tasks or home practice

• Access to exclusive Play Mandarin learning worksheets and progress sheets

All our teachers undergo Play Mandarin’s rigorous teacher training program. Most hold valid First Aid certificates, and all sessions follow our internal safety protocols and quality standards.

 

🟢 Educational Support (Mandarin-speaking Learning Companion)

This flexible support service is ideal for families who want light, non-instructional Mandarin exposure and help with reading or homework. The companion does not prepare teaching materials or design structured lessons, but is Mandarin-speaking and can assist with the following:

• Reading stories to the child

• Helping with school homework (if requested by parents)

• Providing conversational interaction in Mandarin

• Offering calm, caring presence and basic learning engagement

📌 Minimum booking time: 2 hours per session

📌 Home visits depend on your address and tutor availability. We cannot guarantee all areas are serviceable. If unavailable, we will suggest office-based or online alternatives.

🌐 Online Private Tutor Pricing

• 1-on-1 Online: £30 per 45 minutes (via Zoom)

🎓 Educational Support

• Any agreed location, £25 per hour

• Minimum booking: 2 hours

• No planning, no teaching materials

• Tutoring includes curriculum, materials, structured planning, and learning goals

• Educational support is informal and driven by parent request – not curriculum-based

• All in-person lessons are charged by full-hour blocks. Sessions under 1 hour (e.g., 45 mins) are billed as 1 hour. (Online lessons excepted)

• Home tutoring is subject to address and tutor availability. If unavailable, we’ll suggest office or online alternatives.
